    Job Description

    Include, but are not limited to, the following duties:

    · All aspects of preparing doctors' patient clinic for scheduled appointments, including obtaining all Dictation/progress notes, x-rays, CT scan, hospital results, etc prior to patients' appointments.

    · Performing minor office procedures such as x-rays (NCT permit required), injections, 6MW, NIOX, Spirometry, EKG, medical histories and recording vital signs.

    · Preparing patients for examinations and/or procedures, and explaining treatment procedures to patients

    · Preparing and administering medications to patients as directed by Physicians.

    · Management of patient prescription refills/electronic prescriptions and medical equipment orders.

    · Assure accurate completion of doctor charges with respect to procedures and diagnosis.

    · Forward patient concerns and/or complaints regarding medical treatment to the Medical Assistant supervisor for review and follow up.

    · Assure completion and submission of all necessary paperwork for assigned physician, as well as other Physicians as requested and/or needed.

    · May assist the pharmaceutical representatives, assure completion and proper documentation in patients' electronic medical records.

    · Assist Supervisor in the management of medical equipment and supplies.

    · Draw blood and process paperwork, in order to obtain lab results.

    · Assist front office staff with telephone calls and scheduling patient appointments if needed.

    · Assist doctors with Patient education, Electronic communication from Provider to Provider, Lung cancer screening clinic.

    · Record and tracking of immunization records.

    · Attend and actively participate in staff meetings.

    · Accurate and timely submission of employee time clock information for payroll

    · Must work as a team player with all staff for the successful and efficient completion of overall tasks and quality patient care.

    · Travel between offices as required/requested by supervisor/management.

    · Other duties as assigned by physicians and administrator/management.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands:

    · Work is performed in a medical office setting.

    · Must be able to sit for long periods of time, must have manual dexterity to work computer systems and keyboard.

    · Must be able to have face to face conversation with patients and staff.

    · Must be able to lift, push or pull at least 25lbs.

    · Must be able to travel as required.
