    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an assigned book of business, identifying new sales opportunities, and providing leadership and support to clients and the client services team. They will also engage in direct selling activities, including research, prospecting, and account-based networking.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage sales, retention, and growth of book of business
    • Identify opportunities for penetration sales and additional lines of business
    • Provide consultation and support to clients and the client services team
    • Engage in direct selling activities, including research, prospecting, and account-based networking
    • Develop effective business relationships with vendors, carriers, and key decision-makers
    • Consult and participate in joint presentations to grow and promote the agency
    • Keep updated records and notes of sales prospects, leads, and meetings

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience in sales or account management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • State sales license required; industry designations such as CEBS or HIAA/LOMA preferred but not required
    • Thorough knowledge of multiple product lines, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary offerings
    • Strong presentation skills and track record of creating new value-added services and meeting revenue growth projections
    • Superior problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to react positively to change
    • Literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Web navigation

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • Must be able to read and edit spreadsheets, email, and other related tools
    • Must be able to communicate extensively and effectively with staff and vendors via telephone/TDD, one-on-one conversations, face-to-face, public presentations, and written correspondence
    • Requires extensive use of keyboards, calculators, and other administrative equipment, with ability to process and maintain large volumes of documentation
    • Must be able to sit or stand for extensive periods of time and navigate through the office
    • Ability to travel to and work in the corporate office located in Indianapolis, Indiana

    Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
