- Set up and prepare dialysis machines and equipment for patient treatment
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their overall condition during dialysis treatment
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform venipuncture and connect patients to dialysis machines
- Monitor fluid removal and adjust treatment parameters as necessary
- Document patient information, including vital signs, weight, and treatment details
- Educate patients on selfcare techniques and provide emotional support
- Clean and disinfect dialysis equipment according to established protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care
- Proficient in medical terminology related to dialysis procedures
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot dialysis machines and equipment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately document patient information
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Dialysis Technician program or relevant certification
- Current certification as a Dialysis Technician (CDT) preferred but not required
- CPR certification required
- Previous experience in a dialysis setting is a plus
