    The client supports the U.S. Department of the Treasury in key business lines related to financial management for the government.

    As a Contract Automated Test Engineer you will report to a Manager and be part of a team that provides software testing management services to the systems owned by the Department of Treasury's Bureau of the Fiscal Service.

    As a team member you will create and debug automated test scripts; create and maintain acceptance criteria; create Selenium code for the application; and communicate testing status.


    This role will assist with the testing of tickets related to the conversion of multiple pages from jQuery to Angular between now and Q There also will be tasks assigned to further enhance the QA automation for both BM and TCMM.

    Responsibilities

    Translate business and functional requirements to create appropriate test documentation (scripts, test plans, etc.) and acceptance criteria using the Gherkin language

    Develop, execute and maintain JAVA code and automated test scripts for regression, API, and usability tests

    Develop test automation strategies and approaches that incorporate multiple phases of testing

    Maintain automated test environments in a continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) framework

    Manage and maintain quality related metrics like unit test coverage and testing progress

    Lead the creation, review and maintenance of project testing documentation in accordance with department policies, procedures, and Treasury standards

    Log defects and enhancements into Jira

    Adhere to team testing and security standards

    Assist in manual testing and UAT preparation as needed

    Collaborate with team and all members of the Scrum team to ensure appropriate implementation of requirements

    Qualifications

    Bachelor s degree or commensurate experience

    3-5 years of experience in automated testing

    Highly developed competency with Selenium HQ

    Experience with Java

    Experience with Bamboo or comparable scripting language

    Experience with JIRA and Xray is beneficial

    Understanding of creating reusable test data

    Experience with API testing

    Experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ and experience with a source control tool

    knowledgeable of Gherkin language

    Experience with Cucumber is beneficial

    Strong interpersonal skills and written communications

    High standards of confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and trust

    US Citizen or Permanant Resident with three years of US residency.
