    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Provide administrative support of grant applications and related processes by performing specialized tasks requiring continuing responsibilities for projects, questions and issues that arise.
    • Perform paper and electronic file creation, maintenance, and disposal in compliance with Federal and NIH regulations.
    • Create or edit documents such as spreadsheets, correspondence, forms, reports, and standard operating procedures.
    • Attend and participate in extramural staff meetings upon request.
    • Provide logistical support and coordination for scientific conferences, workshops, and site visits; as well as review and Council advisory group meetings.
    • Maintain and update grant data/querying data in NIH systems and databases and preparing Reports.
    • Courteously provide basic information in response to requests via phone or email or directs inquiries to appropriate IC staff.
    • Initiate and/or respond to email, telephone, and letter inquiries and provide requested materials.
    • Duplicate, collate, and scan documents.
    • May photocopy large volumes of research material, correspondence, reports, charts, and graphs.
    • Use various software functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, to edit and reformat electronic drafts, and to update or revise existing databases or spreadsheets.
    • General Conference, Workshop and Meeting Support.
    • Travel Support of processing registrations, travel authorizations and travel vouchers.
    • Prepare meeting minutes for program committee meetings. (Deliverable 3)
    • Process purchase requisitions and oversee office supply inventory.
    • Coverage for the Extramural Research Program's reception area.
