POSITION SUMMARY

The Paint 2 will have the ability to perform all duties and tasks of Paint 1 and in addition to must also apply the base and clear coats to the apparatus. They will sand out imperfections before paint application. The Paint 2 will tape, mask, and apply plastic cover to body and cab openings before coating. Also, they will prepare the truck for buffing station to streamline the process and maintain efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

1. Performed at the expected level as an incumbent of the Paint 1 position for a minimum of 30 days and can function as a Paint 1 when needed.
2. Applies the base and clear coats to the apparatus.
3. Sands out imperfections before paint application.
4. Tapes, masks, and applies plastic cover to body and cab openings before coating.
5. Prepares the truck for buffing station to streamline the process and maintain efficiency.
6. Utilizes pressure pot, sander, and blow gun efficiently to complete tasks.
7. Maintenance on paint equipment and oversee bake booth.
8. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

• High school diploma/GED.
• Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
• Associates degree in autobody preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in autobody preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Skills:

Language:

• Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
• Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions.

Math:

• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Computer:

Abilities:

• Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
• Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
• Able to identify quality issues and recognize changes within the production process and make adjustments.
• Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
