    THE ROLE: Sr. Supervisor Operations

    • Shift: (2nd shift 2pm-12am)
    • Employment Category: Full Time - Regular
    • Pay Range: $105,000-$120,000

    WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

    This role contributes to Evolution Fresh success by supervising day-to-day manufacturing operations to support defined people, quality, cost, and service objectives within a Evolution Fresh roasting plant. Models and acts in accordance with Evolution Fresh guiding principles

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Complies with standards and processes such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality
    • Creates and sustains a cohesive, positive, and clean work environment, participates in 5S program.
    • Ensures effective and timely communication of company, plant and department information to managers, peers, and own work team, including supervisors, leads and associate/ss
    • Provides associate/s with timely performance feedback
    • Serves as a technical expert and coach for team members
    • Supports associate/s in presenting ideas for improving the efficiency and productivity of operations
    • Monitors production throughput, volume fluctuations and labor utilization to ensure smooth manufacturing operations
    • Ensures that associate/s work in accordance with the production schedule to provide product reliability
    • Ensures appropriate staffing to meet new business requirements and volume fluctuations
    • Minimizes scrap to control costs
    • Operates within established budgets, forecasts, cost objectives and service levels to control expenses. Supports implementation of cost, quality, and service improvement initiatives
    • Supports all established plant and manufacturing goals and objectives
    • Apprises manager of team progress and any obstacles
    • Responsible for the management and/or implementation of food safety, legality, and quality programs
    • Leadership, leading by example and fostering creative thinking and growth for all associate/s.
    • Work with all departments to find solutions and support each others' challenges.
    • Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together.
    • Participate and sponsor A3 cost saving ideas.
    • Work with CI and support Kaizen events.

    SAFETY:

    • Demonstrates and understands safety as our core value and follows the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution; coaches others to do the same.
    • Understand and follows established safety guidelines, consistently complying with all safety procedures (e.g. PPE, Lock Out Tag Out, Good Housekeeping, etc.).
    • Reinforces safe practices to other associate/s and provides coaching when witness to unsafe practices.

    PLANNING AND EXECUTION:

    • Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:
    • Plans and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
    • Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.
    • Monitoring daily and weekly schedule. Make changes-based availability and coordinating with Scheduling/Planning team to balance the week and meet demand.
    • Each Sr. Production Supervisor will review and make the necessary changes to Schedule or Sequence by line based on Down Time, Staffing, Product availability or Product issues.

    ASSOCIATE/S DEVELOPTMETN AND TEAM BUILDING:

    • Direct reports will be Supervisor, Leads & Hourly Associate/ss, all direct reports will be provided with coaching, feedback, developmental opportunities and building effective teams:
    • Communicate expectations to team/associate/s and provide direction for improvements.
    • Challenges and inspires associate/ss to achieve business results.
    • Involves associate/s in cross-functional teams and elicits feedback. Supports team members' suggestions to improve costs, quality, efficiency and service.
    • Oversees training and development of associate/s directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.
    • Evaluate training status to keep teams on task and complete assignments as required.

    QUALITY:

    • Maintains product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, HACCP and food safety procedures, product specifications and quality procedures.
    • Completes tasks thoroughly and accurately to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    Work within Food Safety procedures to mitigate Re-work. Evaluate and develop options to improve first time processing.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Supervision 3-5 years
    • Manufacturing or related functions

    Additional Required Qualifications:

    • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.

    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

    • Ability to understand and follow established safety procedures
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor others
    • Familiarity with American Institute of Baking (AIB), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards
    • Familiarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human Food (21 CFR 117) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Experience with BRC or SQF certification schemes
    • Works Monday - Friday, with an expectation of working a minimum of 60 hour per week and Works weekends as needed.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day.
