- Completes mandatory and annual competencies for equipment and procedures, adhere to unit-based protocols, maintain a current BLS certification, and work collaboratively with other disciplines in the Medical Center.

Duties
The VA Midwest Health Care Network advocates for a Whole Health System of care in each of the Medical Centers. The Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) Registered Nurse (RN) duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
Work Schedule: 80 hours biweekly. Day and Night shifts available.
Day shifts: hour shifts and (1) 8-hour shift in a 2 week pay period, 5:45am to 6:15pm and 5:45am to 2:15pm, with rotating weekends and holiday schedules.
Night Shifts: hour shifts and (1) 8-hour shift in a 2 week pay period, 5:45pm to 6:15am and 9:45pm to 6:15am, with rotating weekends and holiday schedules.
