Job Description: Responsible for assessing, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy treatments as prescribed by a licensed physician. Conducts treatments and physical therapy interventions as per physician's instructions to aid in recovery, prevent disability post-injury, illness, or physical impairment. Guides patients to achieve their maximum potential and functioning while adapting to their capabilities. The therapist manages, delegates, and oversees tasks assigned to support staff (RCNA, PTA, PTLA, etc.). The therapist contributes to the department's daily operations, maintains performance improvement initiatives, and engages in CQI activities. Offers input in budget planning, assists in assessing department performance against budgetary constraints and takes necessary steps to adhere to budgetary limits. Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient changes. Participates in infection control measures, equipment training within the department, and safety protocols.
