    Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) at Leisure World, Seal Beach (LWSB) is currently recruiting for a full-time Plumber for our Service Maintenance Department to perform electrical installation, repair and maintenance work in residential and commercial buildings, community facilities and Foundation offices.

    Leisure World was the first major planned retirement community in the nation. Our first residents moved in on June 6, 1962, and today there are more than 9,000 shareholders and residents who represent over a third of a population of the City of Seal Beach. We are a premier community with national recognition for active adults 55 and over. Our community is spread over 542 park-like acres which offers resort style living with all the amenities of small-town living. GRF has been serving the needs of this community since its inception, and we have many employees who love working here so much they've stayed for over 25 years


    Your Work Schedule, Compensation & Benefits:

    • Full-time, non-exempt (hourly).

    • Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, possible night, weekend, and holiday shifts; your work schedule will be determined in your interview.

    • This position is 100% on-site.

    • Hourly Pay Range is $25.36 per hour up to $34.43 per hour.
    The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.

    Position Expectations:

    • Installs stoves, ovens, and bathroom fans.

    • Installs new circuits.

    • Installs indoor and outdoor lighting.

    • Installs phone jacks.

    • Repairs stoves, ovens, and water heaters.

    • Repairs lighting fixtures.

    • Repairs circuits and switches.

    • Repairs telephone lines from junction box to jacks.

    • Repairs dishwashers and air conditioners in community facilities.

    • Maintains streetlights and walk lights.

    • Records time, materials, and related information on Service Repair Orders.


    The experience you need:

    • Knowledge of basic residential and commercial electrical installation, repair and maintenance.

    • Knowledge of the materials used in the electrical trade.

    • Skill in operating all equipment and tools used in the electrical trade.

    • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.


    You should be able to:

    • Frequent standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, and reaching.

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds using mechanical assistance.

    • Close and distance vision, depth perception, and good vision are required.

    • Frequent handling (grasping, holding), fine dexterity, and twisting.
