About the Role

We're looking for a talented full-stack engineer. We take good architecture seriously and value delivering clean, well functioning products built with future growth in mind. We are looking for a curious, driven, problem-loving, collaborative teammate who is excited to get in at the start with a company bringing transparency, equity, and simplicity to supply chain. While supply chain may not seem sexy, it is at the heart of domestic and international commerce. As an early engineer you will make a vital contribution to reducing the immensely large barriers faced by businesses in getting products to their markets.

Responsibilities

Ship product: We have a lot to build so you will be building out the core components. You will be involved in the big decisions from MVP timeline to UI to first hires.

Help create a company from nothing: This is just the beginning. As a founding engineer, you'll not just build a cool product, you'll help build an intentional and inclusive culture, help determine best practices, help with early hires just to name a few.

Collaborate with customers: We are not a company run by VC determined milestones. Our survival depends on making customers happy. Especially since we are just starting, we want to ensure we are addressing the pain points we say we are and that we are doing our best by the customer.

Be your own program and product manager: You must have enough product-sense so that you can get your deliverables in on time and in a progression that makes sense.

Skill set

2+ years professional experience. Prefer full stack development experience or experience in dynamic companies/teams.

Extensive knowledge and experience with PHP 7.0+

Experience with the following frameworks: Laravel, Symfony

Experience with JavaScript and frameworks like React, Angular, Vue

Strong knowledge with relational database concepts and RDBMS systems such as PostgreSQL or MySQL

Experience with Object Oriented Programming/Development concepts and practices

Working experience with version control systems (Git, Mercurial, SVN)

Excellent communication and collaboration

Growth mindset: emphasis on resilience, learning, and adaptability

Motivated to make supply chain accessible, simple, transparent, and more equitable
