- Leading and spearheading innovation projects and product development for ultrasound imaging.
- Playing a key role in the design life cycle from idea to the market for ultrasound imaging features and system technologies.
- Focusing on essential aspects of ultrasound systems engineering such as imaging feature development, image optimization, image quality, and clinical assessment.
- Conducting research and development in ultrasound signal path and signal and image processing for tissue characterization and blood flow visualization/quantification.
- Owning image quality from algorithm research and development to system performance verification, engineering and clinical image optimization, and customer support.
- Contributing to the development of systems-level products that adhere to medical device regulations/standards (FDA, IEC, etc.) and internal quality management processes.
- Promoting innovation and ongoing enhancement of imaging performance from concept creation to prototyping and product execution.
- Thriving in a highly collaborative and interactive development environment.
- M.S. in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering with 7+ years of industry experience in medical imaging product development.
- Expertise in ultrasound transducer imaging optimization and clinical assessment
- Demonstrated proficiency in MATLAB/Python for rapid prototyping; C/C++ programming
- Demonstrated technical skills in coordinating the development efforts of a highly technical team
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes and thrive in a dynamic environment
- Openness to relocating to either St. Louis, MO or Santa Clara, CA
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
- PhD in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering with a dissertation focus on ultrasound imaging or therapy
- Direct experience in R&D of ultrasound image optimization and system development for various imaging applications (e.g., Abdominal, Musculoskeletal, Vascular, Pediatric, CEUS, and Color Doppler)
