Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, including both high and low voltage applications. This role involves working on various residential and commercial construction sites, ensuring that all electrical installations are performed safely and in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
In addition to competitive hourly pay, we offer a bonus payout structure designed to reward performance, efficiency, and commitment to quality work.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as voltmeters and power tools.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local building codes.
- Collaborate with contractors and other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Perform inspections of electrical systems to identify hazards or defects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices.
Skills
- Proficient in using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Strong knowledge of both high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
- Experience as a residential/commercial electrician with a solid understanding of NEC regulations.
- Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety measures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
