- Maintain a case load of patients seeking treatment from the effects of substance use and/or mental health disorders.
- Perform essential counseling responsibilities including screening, intake and orientation, assessment, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.
- Participate in program, administrative and clinical committees as assigned.
- Relate effectively with staff, clients, and community while upholding confidentiality requirements.
- Bachelors Degree in a human service field required, Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year counseling experience preferred.
- Equivalent alternative combination of education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.
- Knowledge of addiction/recovery, behavioral health, self-help group process and principles of counseling.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications.

Overview:
Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, the Mental Health Counselor will provide mental health and/or substance use disorder counseling to our patients. The Mental Health Counselor will work on a Full-Time basis out of Helio Healths Hutchings Integration Team.
In addition to Helio Healths comprehensive benefits package, Full-Time hires for this position are eligible for a Sign-On Incentive up to $1,500
Pay Rate: $ $24.83 per hour.

Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
