HDR is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team serving the Nebraska/Iowa Market.
Our team is looking for a candidate to meet the needs of our diverse client base including Healthcare, Water/Wastewater, Science and Technology, Federal, Industrial, Mission Critical and Commercial clients.
We have a team with diverse experience and are actively seeking candidates with experience within one or more of the markets we serve.
This individual should also have a desire to mentor and train younger electrical engineers. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading a team and designing projects from start to finish.This will include coordinating and working closely with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, marketing staff, and all other team members.
They will be responsible for developing construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and performing RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigation and overall construction administration.
Passion, self-motivation, and strong leadership skills are a must to deliver technically excellent design solutions for our clients.On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Electrical Engineer will also be expected to:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
PE license
Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience
Must have a proven successful history of designing lighting and electrical systems for various types of buildings including one or more of the following:
healthcare, laboratory facilities, federal, water/wastewater, utility, mission critical, and commercial office facilities
Strong communication skills, self-motivated and organized
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Work both independently and with a project team
Some travel will be required
An attitude and commitment to our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
BIM/Revit experience is highly recommended
Experience in Water/Wastewater projects
Local candidates are preferred
