Job summary
The Medical Records Technician is responsible for the maintenance storage and processing of all medical records and EHR data.This involves performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the management and oversight of a program's medical records including but not limited to assembling analysis release of information data processing collection reconciliation and preparation of reports in a manner consistent with medical administrative ethical legal and regulatory requirements of a mental health care system.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the Telecare mission purpose values and beliefs in everyday language
- Assists in the development compliance with policies procedures ensure that medical records are complete processed according to governmental regulations standard professional record keeping practices
- Audits clinical records completeness adherence standards ensures accuracy EHR data verifies demographic episodic information documented within specified timeframes generates reports confirm accuracy corrections Program County requirements participates system trainings meetings stay current changes participates team member input reporting observations concerns asks appropriate questions works cooperatively Managers Program Administrators demonstrates good judgment decision making initiative daily tasks knowledge proper equipment supplies budgetary parameters reports concerns issues at programs Vice President Human Resources demonstrates good rapport cooperative working relationships members team responds co-workers concern promotes group morale continually focuses assigned tasks seeks implements improvements necessary understands safety program activities demonstrates knowledge customers clients residents families governmental agencies interactions conduct acts professional manner always demonstrating respect understanding community representing Telecare community attends assigned education classes completes follows expected deadlines understands knowledge policies associated attendance attains all required certifications training programs as outlined below maintains certification throughout employment performs other related duties as needed or assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
