    Description
    Were building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world.

    This Executive Director position is dedicated to cross asset coverage of CIBC clients in the South East region of the United States.

    It will also include serving as a productive team member and helping as a backup for others.

    Youre flexible to work hours as needed to help deliver a great client experience, which may include evenings and weekends.

    Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

    **Execute the sales function, ensuring that all transactions are executed in accordance with established risk management strategies and risk parameters

    • Enhance the ability to monitor, scrutinize, measure and mitigate risks
    • Ensure adherence to policy
    • Champion CIBC values, and provide support in a manner consistent with the highest quality standards and CIBC objectives
    • Partner with trading, risk, origination and structuring teams across the firm to enhance CIBCs functional capabilities
    Work closely with Commercial Banking to identify new clients & opportunities

    • Ensure that recommendations and opinions offered to clients are in compliance with legislation and policies of CIBC
    **Ability to generate creative (out-of-the box) insights that differentiate CIBC from competition

    • Teamwork work within the sales/trading organization
    • Business unit must achieve annual revenue / notional targets in an extremely competitive environment
    • Conduct and Risk Culture** Our CIBC risk culture is based on employees striving to exceed the expectations of ourselves and our leaderships identification and mitigation of risks in their daily responsibilities, not just in quarterly or annual monitoring/assessments.     As an employee of CIBC the incumbent must conduct themselves (and foster an environment for others) in a manner consistent with our strong risk culture.

    Following all aspects of the CIBC Code of Conduct, as well as all applicable CIBC policies, frameworks, guidelines, processes and controls

    • Understanding and following the qualitative and quantitative components of our Risk Appetite Statements
    • Completing all annual Corporate Mandatory Training and Testing modules, as well as any additional business-specific modules, as required and employing the learnings in daily activities and undertakings
    • upon observing activities that may be inconsistent with CIBCs policies, frameworks, guidelines, processes and controls, and where applicable, assist in the resolution of same
    • Escalating matters that can result in adverse market practices and outcomes, thereby negatively impacting CIBCs reputation as a leading financial institution
    **You need to be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.
