    Description

    Responsibilities of a Construction Superintendent are:

    • Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, including subcontractor management, scheduling, and quality control, to ensure project milestones are met.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
    • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to interpret plans, resolve issues, and ensure project specifications are met.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential risks, and address any deviations from the project plan.
    • Manage project budgets, expenses, and resources effectively to optimize project profitability.
    • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including clients, to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.

    Profile

    The successful Construction Superintendent must have:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and multifamily construction, with at least 2 years in a superintendent role.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of subcontractors and personnel.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
    • Familiarity with construction management software and tools, such as Procore or PlanGrid, preferred.
    • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification or equivalent preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
