- Current AWHONN Intermediate Instructor led EFM course at time of hire for experienced RNs or within 6 months of hire for new graduate nurses and maintain AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced EFM course certification thereafter.

A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
In addition, the Registered Professional Nurse prescribes, delegates, coordinates, supervises and evaluates patient teaching and the activities of the ancillary nursing personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing.
The Registered Nurse is able to provide direct and indirect care to patients.Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
Computer Competence- within four (4) weeks of employment
Basic Fetal Monitoring with in twelve (12) weeks of employment
Standardized Competencies for Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring Acknowledgement and agreement during unit specific orientation
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within twelve (12) months of employment
Advanced Fetal Monitoring after twelve (12) months, then annually
