    RN Bed Management Coordinator


    Department:
    Patient Transport Call Center

    • Schedule: Per diem 24 hours either 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM with weekend and one major and one minor holiday

    • Travel, PRN, Short-Term Option, etc.). Coordinate a centralized bed management system to facilitate efficient admissions and transfers, optimize occupancy and avoid delays in service.
    • Communicate with clinical staff to determine status of pending discharges, transfers and bed availability and plans bed assignments accordingly.
    • Review all admissions and transfers for clinical/unit appropriateness and medical necessity.
    • Analyze bed management data, identify issues and potential resolutions and prepare reports for executive review.

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date
    Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained
    Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
