    Gastroenterologist Needed to Join A Thriving Multi-Specialty Practice in Huntington, NY on the North Shore of Long Island

    The multi-specialty group has four facilities located in Huntington, Nesconset, Bayshore and Commack. This role will be located in Huntington, at a new state-of-the-art facility which opened in the summer of 2018. Long Island is full of beautiful communities with excellent school districts, art museums, restaurants, and concert venues. Additionally, Manhattan is only a short drive or train ride away.

    Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island offers comprehensive care through its sites and is comprised of 77 physicians representing almost every medical and surgical specialty.

    Additionally, this site has a full imaging center, state-of-the-art accredited office endoscopy center, and on-site Laboratory, as well as a comprehensive support team, including RN's and MA's.


    The chosen candidate will become part of a multi-specialty group in the heart of Long Island joining a team of 4 Gastroenterologist.

    Currently 2 in Huntington and 2 in Nesconset.

    The candidate will be located in Huntington only, and must have an interest in both inpatient and outpatient, but the position will be mainly ambulatory (approximately 80%) Physicians in the group have opportunities for teaching if interested.

    Position Description:

    • Full-time Gastroenterologist for Long Island
    • Serve a diverse population and live in a highly desirable neighborhood with excellent school districts and numerous cultural activities
    • Practice is both inpatient and outpatient, but mainly ambulatory
    • Support staff: RN's and MA's
    • Call is equally shared
    • EMR system: EPIC
    • Opportunities for teaching and administrative responsibilities

    Position Qualifications:

    • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
    • New York Medical License
    • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
    • Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve
    • Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
    • A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
    Compensation range from 425K to 500K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

    Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need.

    As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
