    Baxter plans to spin off our ~$5B Kidney Care segment into an independent, publicly traded company.

    The new standalone entity will leverage our nearly 70-year legacy in acute therapies and home and in-center dialysis to provide best-in-class care to the people we serve.

    With its own investment priorities and enhanced management focus, the company will be better positioned to pursue growth opportunities and invest in innovation.

    The position interfaces with a broad spectrum of Finance and non
    • Finance personnel globally both in the businesses and across Corporate functions such as Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Stockholder Services and Legal.
    The position provides excellent top-level exposure to the financial performance of Baxter and each of its businesses. The position also provides excellent exposure and development in U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.


    Principle responsibilities include the following:

    What You'll be Doing:
    Technical accounting research and related accounting application, as well as accounting policy development. Conduct organizational training, as necessary, regarding new accounting pronouncements and company accounting policy.
    Effectively communicate complex accounting matters to various levels within the organization, including executive leadership.
    Evaluate complex business transactions and advise regional/functional/business leadership regarding accounting implications.
    Manage evaluation of technical accounting matters with companys external auditors.
    Participate in the effort to maintain Baxters SOX compliance.
    Identify and implement process improvements.


    What You'll Bring:


    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent)CPA required10 plus years of Technical Accounting ExperienceExperience with Revenue Recognition preferredSuperior written and oral communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organizationAbility to work in a team environment, time-management and problem-solving skills a mustAdvanced Excel, data mining and ERP systems experience requiredBaxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace.

    At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.

    The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 to $176,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position.

    We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.

    Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive.
