This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Plains Area, The Edward T. Schafer Agricultural Research Center in Fargo, ND

In this position, you will be responsible for serving as part of a research team conducting plant research in a laboratory and greenhouse setting.

Duties

• Tabulate, statistically analyze and summarize data using personal computers and software packages.
• Contribute ideas towards the planning, sequencing, executing, and documenting of the technical aspects of the research project.
• Search for literature pertinent to biology for new procedures or techniques to use in the laboratory, field, or greenhouse environment.
• Maintain, calibrate, and modify complex/specialized equipment and automated systems used for test and evaluation procedures.
• Operate and maintain the equipment/software to perform routine experiments to data related to biology research such as Microsoft Office Suite, standard laboratory equipment, microscope, automation/robotics, and sterile hood.
