    Demand Planning & Orders Scheduling Analyst

    Lafayette, Indiana

    Role Definition
    Responsible for new orders and order change, make sure requests can be successfully received by order system.

    This is a new position to help support the management of engines shipping to outplants to be packaged and tested and then shipped back to Lonestar for shipping to the end customer.


    Job duties include but are not limited to:

    • Identifying new orders that have the potential to be packaged/tested at each outplant location.
    • Scheduling of those orders for each outplant location.
    • Adjusting any order process time to account for additional work/transportation to each outplant location.
    • The order change to make sure material demand drives to the right outplant location.
    • Monitoring the engine movement through the Lafayette plant.
    • Coordinating/managing the shipment of engines to each outplant location.
    • Monitoring the package/testing movement through each outplant location.
    • Contact for each outplant if part shortages exist to package the product.
    • Coordinating/managing the shipment of engines back to Lonestar for final package shipment to end customer.
    • Previous experience creating and implementing new business processes desired.

    Education:
    Bachelors degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR 6 years of relevant experience desired. desired

    Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

    Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.


    Effective Communications :
    Level Extensive Experience

    Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.


    Problem Solving :
    Level Extensive Experience

    Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.


    Demand Management :
    Level Extensive Experience

    Knowledge of processes and methods of Demand Management; ability to effectively sense, predict, plan for and manage the demand for products and services.


    Forecasting :
    Level Extensive Experience

    Knowledge of forecasting tools, approaches and practices; ability to determine product demand and estimate production requirements and loads.
