Housing options available As an Abbey Resort associate you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake We aim to hire individuals who are ready and committed to exceed the expectation of every guest by genuinely creating lasting memories maintaining a positive attitude and by providing outstanding service every time BASIC FUNCTION The Human Resources Intern is responsible for supporting a variety of responsibilities within the department including but not limited to recruiting employee relations benefits training record keeping and payroll related inquiries QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE High school graduate or equivalent Minimum of one-year Human Resource experience or confidential administrative work required Strong organizational skills multi-task oriented Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong computer skills basic data entry Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and Publisher Pleasant phone demeanor ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Administrative function to the Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Coordinator Greet applicants and provide them with information regarding the employment process Conduct phone screens to potential candidates and schedule in person interviews with department managers Initiate and track 90-day reviews for all new employees Create and update all job postings through Company website and all external sources Generate offers background checks through Human Resources systems Conduct reference checks for each new hired employee General office administration office supply inventory employee file maintenance typing other clerical support duties as needed Maintain update I-9 information for all new employees Notify the Director of Human Resources any outstanding I-9s Track process new hire training Answer employment verification requests Run emmployee room request program Process track employee referral program Create birthdayanniversaries list distribution via posters emails cards Update HR bulletin boards quarterly Remain alert courteous helpful guests fellow employees times Practice safety standards report any unsafe conditions Director Humna Ressources Maintain central filing common forms replenish HR forms inside office Twice daily mail runs HR mailbox more as required department MARGINAL FUNCTIONS Effectively interact people diverse socioeconomic cultural disability ethnic backgrounds Required perform tasks duties assigned Scheduled hours may vary business needs include holidays weekends various shifts overtime reduced hours Serve backup Humna Resorces Coordinators Attend job fairs assist job fair coordination needed Will perform additional duties requested Director Humna Resorces Attend management trning scheduled ENVIRONMENT Office setting overhead lighting ventilation We are Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V
