    Provide direct quality support for existing Kidde Detection production released products as well as validation test support for new products currently in development.

    Develop and implement Quality Test Plans and procedures to ensure product perform to all applicable agency and regulatory standards.

    Establish a comprehensive understanding of Kidde Detection design, operation and performance in order to effectively evaluate product quality and potential deficiencies that need to be addressed.

    Act as an interface with internal and external customers and suppliers to identify quality issues in both product and process.

    Effectively manage and maintain an active Kidde Detection Quality Clinic leveraging the tools in Carrier Excellence and establishing robust reporting methods.

    Develop tools and methods to capture and analyze quality data to improve overall Cost of Poor Quality to the business and enhance customer satisfaction.

    Assist in development and improvement of quality system processes (i.e., Product Safety, 8D, PBI, SAP's, and reporting applications).
    Perform collection and analysis of product returns data.
    Ability to learn and utilize lab software, lab equipment, and lab SAP's

    Assist in developing comprehensive, visual Standard Work outlining proper methods for product testing, quality evaluation and corresponding data capture.

    Work with Kidde Product Support and Customer Service to provide timely and accurate feedback on product evaluation results and quality trends.

    Investigate product quality problems and determine root cause.
    Gather and analyze data and assist engineering to reduce or eliminate cause.
    Interface with internal factories to assist in quality investigations and root cause analysis.
    Job specific projects as they arise.

    Associate degree with 2+ years of electronics and/or test lab experience

    Associate degree in Electronics or proven field or relevant equivalent
    Good understanding of Quality Systems
    Basic knowledge of Windows and MS office
    Ability to read, interpret schematic drawings and technical documents, and be able to prototype circuits from a schematic
