- Develop and write appropriate permitting documents, including conditions to mitigate any adverse impacts to unit resources, and reviewing and negotiating these conditions with the permittee.
- Complete post-permit analysis, critique and documentation to complete administrative record as required by regulation, and make recommendations on how to improve protection of unit resources for future permits.
- Work cooperatively with unit and Regional staff in the process of preparing and reviewing permit-related documents.
- Provide accurate, concise and error-free written information about projects, sensitive issues and controversial programs to partners, outside agencies, and the media.

Summary
This position is located in Rock Creek Park, in the Resource Managment Division.
The incumbent manages, directs, and/or facilitates the full spectrum of park use activities that are authorized under public gatherings and special events, special park use (construction and access), and right of way permits, following the relevant law, policy and guidance (NPS-53, Management Directives and Department of Interior Guidelines, CFR 7.96, 36 CFR, among others).
