    The successful Industrial Engineer candidate is one who thrives in the technical aspects of the position and enjoys customer interaction and project management to support our nationwide network of distribution centers.

    The successful candidate will bring experience in engineering solutions relative to creating distribution center layouts, analyzing productivity, creating pricing models, and optimizing strategies in our current environments.

    Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.


    Requirements:
    Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering required
    2+ years-experience in a warehouse environment
    Knowledge of secondary packaging and/or manufacturing
    Knowledge of quality and safety concepts
    WMS Knowledge
    Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
    A financial or pricing background is a plus


    Responsibilities:
    Coordinates and aids in the design, evaluation, planning, integration, testing and completion activities in engineering projects
    Develop pricing estimates for new business opportunities
    Determines the most effective means for an organization to use capital, equipment, energy, facilities, information, material, people, and other assets to make a product or service
    Plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations
    Studies product or service and its requirements, using mathematical methods such as operations research, to meet those requirements and design manufacturing and information systems
    Reviews functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication
    Propose new automated warehousing solutions to increase productivity and improve throughput
    Analyze storage solutions and material handling processes and recommend optimal strategies to maximize efficiencies
    Improve warehouse flow by optimizing storage strategies and zoning
    Perform Return on Investment (ROI) analyses to justify capital proposals
    Design and create warehouse layouts for new and existing facilities using AutoCAD
    Select and work with outside vendors to complete capital projects
    Develop and integrate targeted solutions with customers and operations management
    Analyze existing processes and recommend opportunities for improvement
    Create workflow plans
    Conduct time studies
    Determine productivity numbers
    Continually re-evaluate work process for productivity improvements

    Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
    Other duties as assigned

    Salary:
    $100,000 - $110,000 with great benefits with an attractive 401(k) retirement package. Great working environment
