    Job Purpose:

    Developing and executing product and business strategy in a world of rapid technological and social change requires a highly capable, highly knowledgeable, and highly engaged team.

    The Digital & Data Business Planning Department is tasked with navigating the strategy and execution for Honda's future digital services. The team will focus on building and sustaining Honda's core brand values and enhancing brand image and competitiveness in the marketplace by developing new businesses, features, products, and services in the digital domain with responsibility for their customer value, competitiveness, and profitability for Honda in North America.

    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Digital Services / Connected Vehicles Senior Business Development Specialist who will be responsible for business aspects from ideation of future services through go-to-market planning. This is an opportunity to contribute to a rapidly evolving and increasingly important part of Honda's digital services platform.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Strategic Planning and Ideation:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a strategic vision for digital services and connected vehicles.
    • Ideate and conceptualize future services, considering market trends, customer needs, technological advancements, and corporate initiatives

    Market Analysis and Opportunity Assessment:

    • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and potential service offerings.
    • Analyse competitive landscape, customer preferences, and industry trends to inform business decisions.

    Go-to-Market Strategy:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans.
    • Define target customer segments, pricing models, distribution channels, and promotional strategies.

    Partnership and Collaboration:

    • Establish and nurture relationships with external partners, including technology and service providers.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (product, engineering, marketing) to align business goals and execution.

    Revenue Generation and Monetization:

    • Identify revenue streams related to subscription models, value-added services, revenue share, and data monetization.
    • Create business models that prioritizes customer value, customer experience, while aligning with corporative goals and delivering profitability.

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

    • Bachelors degree is required, ideally with a major in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
    • MBA preferred.
    • 6+ years of experience in a product management, product planning, product marketing, business development, strategic partnerships, consulting, or engineering role.
    • 6+ years of experience in technology subscription or service-based products in a B2C or B2B environment, including use case, requirements definition and business modelling. This includes automotive, connected car, software, media and/or Internet of Things (IoT).
    • 3+ years of experience evaluating and analyzing data and analytics, specifically for recurring, subscription-based revenue with attention to detail and data-driven decisions.
    • Problem Solving: Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and work at strategic and tactic levels simultaneously.
    • Self-Driven: Ability to work independently and respond rapidly in a fast-changing environment.
    • Results Oriented: High level of attention to detail while maintaining vision of the larger business objectives and meet company goals.
    • Bias For Action: Strong sense of product / domain ownership and bias for action.
    • Financial Literacy: Interpret financial data, evaluate ROI, and make informed decisions.
    • Negotiation Skills: Negotiate contracts, partnerships, and deals to drive business growth.
    • Sales Pitch: Articulate the value proposition of digital services to stakeholders and leadership.
    • Effective Communication: Clearly convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product teams, engineers, marketing, and sales to align business goals.
    • Presentation Skills: Deliver compelling presentations to executives, internal teams, and clients.
    • Agile / Scrum product owner certification or experience.
