- Adult (Inpatient)
- 40 Hours a week
- Census: Up to 26 patients.
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00am - 4:30pm
- 1-year minimum experience, post residency/training.
- There are no off-hours call but the inpatient psychiatrist will share in the rotation of psychiatric code beeper daytime coverage several times per month.
- Occasional cross-coverage needs.
- The inpatient psychiatrist will need to perform evaluations for mental hygiene court retentions and treatment over objection, as clinically indicated, and testify in court as needed.
- There are infrequent evaluations of privilege levels as part of a hospital forensic committee for patients committed under insanity statutes.
- Extended leaves will not be permitted during this assignment.
- Shorter leaves (e.g., one week or less) may be considered on an infrequent basis following appropriately made request of supervision, establishing coverage, and is subject to approval by the facility.
- NY state license; active, unrestricted
- Board Certified/Board Eligible within 2-yrs of residency/training.
- Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience, certifications, housing, and transportation needs, etc.)
- Malpractice insurance provided.
- Extended leave will not be permitted during this assignment. Shorter leaves (e.g., one week or less) may be considered.
