    Overview

    Highcrest Capital LLC ("Company") is seeking an experienced Director of Credit to oversee and guide our dynamic credit analysis team and manage relationships with our key lending partners and service providers. EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE FOR A HEDGE FUND/NONBANK LENDER IS A MUST.

    This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and performance of our i) revenue and working capital-based lending , ii) asset-backed lending programs, and iii) various other financial products. The Director of Credit will work closely with our Portfolio Manager to make critical decisions on lending offers, terms, and structures, ensuring profitable and secure investments.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Decision Making on Lending Proposals: Evaluate and make independent decisions on large-scale FinTech working capital advances ranging from $850,000 to $1,500,000. This includes reviewing credit analyst summaries and deciding on offers, declines, and the structure of transactions without further supervision.
    • Collaborative Underwriting: Partner with the Portfolio Manager to co-underwrite a variety of i) revenue-based financing, ii) asset-backed loans, including but not limited to commercial real estate bridge loans, equipment purchase loans, and iii) various other financial products. Responsibilities include approving, declining, or structuring loans, as well as determining the next steps in the underwriting process to ensure closure.
    • Team Management: Oversee a team of five experienced (Level-3 and above) credit analysts. You will be responsible for managing personnel aspects, including performance evaluation, training, and development to ensure a high level of expertise and efficiency within the team.
    • Lending Partner and Service Provider Liaison: Act as the primary contact for our contracted lending partners and servicing providers. Manage and review status reports, oversee servicing activities, workouts and modifications, and coordinate outside collections and legal recovery actions.

    Qualifications:

    • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA is highly preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a similar role within the financial services industry. Minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management position. Experience in a hedge fund, investment bank, or asset management firm strongly preferred.
    • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk assessment methodologies. Proven track record of making informed lending decisions based on comprehensive financial analysis.
    • Market Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the market trends, regulatory environment, and the factors affecting credit risk and asset-backed lending. Experience with commercial real estate, supply chain financing, revenue-based lending, and FinTech lending products is essential.
    • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop a team of credit analysts or financial professionals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively convey complex financial concepts to team members and senior management.
    • Decision-Making Ability: Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to assess complex information, analyze risk, and determine the strategic direction of the credit portfolio.
    • Negotiation and Relationship Management: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and service providers. Experience working with contracted servicing providers is a plus.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and the ability to ensure compliance across all credit operations.
    • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the use of financial analysis software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with advanced financial modeling and statistical analysis tools.
    • Strategic Thinking: Ability to contribute to strategic planning and advise on portfolio risk management, investment strategies, and growth opportunities.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to present detailed reports and strategies to senior management and external stakeholders.

    Compensation: Total compensation package up to $250,000, depending upon experience.
