    Description
    Scope of Position:

    Under the guidance of the Bureau Chief (Supervising Management Auditor), the Senior Management Auditor will lead audit teams, oversee various engagements (pre and post-payment audits, electronic audits, etc.), and manage a large audit team for complex projects.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Offer on-the-job training to team members.
    • Review audit reports and work papers for accuracy and compliance with standards.
    • Assess audit production goals and suggest improvements.
    • Allocate resources for audit objectives and interagency agreements.
    • Develop annual work plans and budgets, and monitor progress.
    • Review production and reporting regularly.
    • Provide guidance in audit planning.
    • Research and address complex audit issues.
    • Update audit programs based on regulations and laws.
    • Ensure proper documentation of audit work.
    • Support agencies in new projects and system conversions.
    • Handle special projects as needed.
    • Evaluate staff performance.
    • Identify training needs and ensure training provision.
    • Monitor staff attendance and analyze legislation.
    • Assess funding and prepare budget proposals.
    • Draft legal opinions.
    • Prepare necessary documents.
    • Deliver presentations to stakeholders.
    • Act as a liaison between departments.
    • Monitor contract funding.
    Desirable Qualifications:
    • Proficiency in organizational management, accounting, and auditing.
    • Knowledge of statistics, electronic data processing, and governmental management.
    • Experience with SQL and other relevant technologies.
    • Understanding of personnel management and audit principles.
    • Ability to plan and direct audit activities.
    • Familiarity with State and departmental policies and regulations.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
