Description

Equity long-short investment firm located in Los Angeles, CA seeks an operations associate to aid the firm in its investment and operational processes. Candidates must have a college degree from a four-year institution and two years (or more) of experience in finance/accounting and/or operational systems related roles (experience at an accounting firm or investment firm is a plus). In addition, candidates should be a natural self-starter with a strong desire to figure out complex situations quickly. Candidates should be resourceful, detail and process oriented, and must have:

1. Basic knowledge of investment fund accounting and finance related processes and systems.

2. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.

3. Proven ability to compile, search, and maintain large data files easily.

4. Strong research skills.

The ideal candidate would be a professional that is naturally curious about the markets and finance but has a strong desire to add value in an investment firm through the management of various operational processes, including fund accounting, investor relations, and compliance. The ideal candidate should be forward-thinking as it relates to the creation and management of internal systems and processes and excited about taking ownership over many of these processes.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
