- Complete the patients' intake process, taking patients' histories, and preparing and educating patients about the imaging procedure
- Review patients' charts and Doctors' notes before the examination, and maintaining patients' records during and after procedures.
- Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for contrast in the diagnostic images
- Position patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images
- Monitor patients and ensuring their safety during imaging procedures
- Calibrate the equipment to ensure clear, usable images are taken of the correct area as specified by the Doctor
- Log and organize image results, develop film, assist with the interpretation of the radiograph results, and consult with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken
- Ensure the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment, maintain radiographic equipment, and report any equipment failures
- Coordinate with the radiology department to schedule and complete radiographic procedures
- Maintain up to date knowledge of current radiology practices
- Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions, required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills, required
- Strong attention to detail, vigilance and meticulous care on the job, required
- Passion for keeping people safe, required
- Ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment, required
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and operate heavy machinery without assistance, required
- Computer skills including MSOffice, Outlook, Meditech, preferred
- Graduate of approved school of Radiologic Technology, required
- ARRT registered or eligible. required
- Kansas state Radiologic Technologist license, required
- BLS certification, required
- 3 or 4 years of MRI Radiology experience, preferred

The Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) is a professional who works with a Radiologist to diagnose and treat patients using diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays, CT scans and MRI scans.
ARRT's explain procedures to patients, positioning patients and equipment, performing examinations, developing film and maintaining and operating specialized radiologic equipment.
