    Job Summary
    SMSI, LLC is seeking a Senior/Mid level Electrical Engineer. Work would be performed from Aiken, SC. The need is immediate. Position is direct hire and is a full-time position.

    This position would be onsite at the SRPPF (Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility) and/or Tritium Facilities for SRNS (Savannah River Nuclear Solutions).


    Responsibilities:


    Prepare design development and preparation of engineering analysis, electrical equipment specifications ,P&ID support, electrical calculations, single line and schematics drawing development.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited school.
    Working design experience in nuclear industry/facility is preferred with NQA-1 experience and IEEE,NEC codes and standards.

    5-10 years of related experience with DOE or 10 years of related experience non-DOE in electrical engineering in nuclear or process chemical industry.


    Past projects to have included:
    General facility systems design and modeling (UPS systems, motor controls, grounding, lighting, etc).
    Low Voltage electrical distribution systems including substation, MCC's preferred.
    Control system design(ability to integrate with vendor and site wide data collection and alarm systems)

    Computer analysis methods:
    Short-circuit, Arc –Flash, Lighting, grounding.
    Experience with project implementation/execution preferred, but not required.
    Experience preparing electrical system studies preferred, but not required.
    Active DOE Q clearance preferred, but not required.


    All candidates must possess:
    Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Excellent organizational skills
    Capability with MS Office Suite
    Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with clients, contractors, and consultant on a day-to-day basis.
