    Development Manager, BIKE HSS

    Development Department

    Hybrid (NYC office based)

    Full-Time

    PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: The Development Manager, Bike HSS will support the planning and execution of Bike HSS, an annual peer-to-peer fundraising event, and other events as needed with an eye toward identifying opportunities to increase event participation, advance donor relationships, and increase fundraising.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work on the planning and daily operations of the annual Bike HSS event.
    • Assist on the development, coordination and implementation of marketing efforts related to Bike HSS to increase number of riders and participants including e-marketing, grassroots marketing, advertising, and the development of all marketing collateral.
    • Engage with internal physician participants including helping with registration and setting up fundraising pages, drafting fundraising emails, and tracking all physician participation.
    • Help with the coordination of corporate teams and corporate sponsor engagement opportunities
    • Assist with the creation, testing, and sending of e-mails to Bike HSS prospects, donors, and participants.
    • Assist with administrative work related to Bike HSS including answering participant and donor inquiries and serving as a Bike HSS customer service representative.
    • Assist with Bike HSS website maintenance
    • Project management of tasks related to Bike HSS such as participant giveaways, t-shirts, incentive items, volunteer recruitment, and other projects as needed
    • Manage Bike HSS consultants and vendors.
    • Coordinate with Service Line gift officers on service line team communications and activities
    • Coordinate with development communications team to implement email stewardship and solicitation programs
    • Perform other functions as assigned
    Qualifications:

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelors Degree
    • Two years of marketing or fundraising experience
    • Experience working on a peer-to-peer fundraising event or athletic event a plus

    COMPETENCIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and the public
    • Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Ability to be organized and self-directed
    • Ability to lead, as well as to effectively manage up, down and sideways
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and a database management system, such as Raisers Edge
    • HTML or CSS development; Photoshop; and Project Management experience a plus
    • Flexibility to participate in evening/weekend events and to travel, as needed

    Pay Range - Minimum:
    USD $77,000.00/Yr.

    Pay Range - Maximum:
    USD $85,000.00/Yr.
