Job Description:
Are you ready to make a difference in the healthcare industry? CanAide, a subsidiary of ApprioHealth, LLC, is looking for a dedicated and highly professional On-site Patient Advocate in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will be the first point of contact to assist patients with application processes for various healthcare programs. Your responsibilities will include completing applications, obtaining necessary documentation, and maintaining constant communication with patients, guarantors, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Visit patients in hospitals to assess their eligibility for Medicaid and other healthcare programs
- Maintain continuous communication with relevant agencies throughout the application process
- Handle documentation, paperwork, and record-keeping efficiently
- Assess cases and connect clients with suitable community resources
- Prepare clear reports and written materials
- Prioritize and meet deadlines independently
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Efficiently process high volumes of cases within specified timelines
Educational Requirement:
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
Requirement Knowledge:
- Social work and case management principles and practices
- Medicaid program regulations
- Strong interviewing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Record-keeping principles and practices
- Cultural competency and dealing with diverse individuals
- Knowledge of Social Security Administration and Medicaid eligibility
