The Adams Company is looking for an Engineering Designer experienced in Autocad, particularly in designing residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various residential design projects like new home layouts, remodels, additions, and deck plans, as well as creating commercial building plans for different purposes.

Duties:

• Residential building design, which includes:
• New home design
• Piling foundation plans
• Structural design for additions/remodels
• Commercial building design, such as floor plans, foundation plans, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, all meeting current building codes
• Conduct regular site visits and field inspections to produce drawings and draft certification letters

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Autocad
• Capability to grasp building codes
• Effective communication skills with owners, contractors, and building inspectors
• Holder of a valid NC driver's license

Preferences:

• EI certification
• Prior experience in building design or construction
