    Description
    Description of Duties:

    The Multidisciplinary Engineer (MDE) supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

    The candidate will: ·
    • Support C2BMC Labs and Warfighter Support (CLAW) on the IRES contract.
    • Work along with the Project Manager and engineering peers to generate accurate derived requirements and project artifacts, develops change vehicles, and oversees associated project implementation activities.
    • Coordinate for resources necessary to install, upgrade, and maintain the technology and facility infrastructure to ensure timely and accurate customer support as well as proper project execution against schedules.
    • Apply published organizational processes to ensure accurate and timely service delivery, and provides project technical leadership for internal and external review and approval boards.
    • Apply applicable published IRES standards during project audits, communicate with project teams and IRES QC regarding findings as well as coordinating with CLAW QC lead for resolution needs.
    The successful candidate will: ·
    • Be able to communicate successfully and multitask in a dynamic environment.
    • Be able to work independently as well as in team environments to solve complex problems with minimal supervision across a wide variety of customer environments.
    • Have strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience briefing management and senior Government customers.
    • This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO. This position is expected to pay $69,500 - $94,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

    Requirements

    Basic Requirements:
    • Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 2 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 0 years of general experience.
    • Must have direct experience supporting the IRES contract
    • Must have 2.5 years of experience in an engineering field
    • Must have a demonstrated ability to understand networking design, facility power design drawings and cabling infrastructure solutions. ·
    • Must be familiar with IT concepts and their supporting infrastructure ·
    • Must have a demonstrated understanding of performance planning, implementing, de-conflicting and managing of information technology (IT) and infrastructure projects.
    • Must have a demonstrated understanding of planning and managing complex resources against constraints.
    • Must have a strong understanding of MS Office applications (including Visio).
    • Must have an understanding of Remedy or similar change management system
    • Must have, or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

    Desired Requirements:
    • Have a demonstrated understanding of the project management lifecycle and related processes.
    • Have a demonstrated understanding of traditional systems engineering skills and knowledge, requirements derivation and the development and use of requirements traceability matrixes.
    • Have a strong understanding of network engineering devices and operations
    • Have a strong understanding of the Microsoft Project application
    • Have experience successfully working IRES change processes, including CRQs.
    • Have an understanding of Remedy, Bentley and Planet systems.
    • Have knowledge of Missile Defense, DoD communications systems and MDIOC operations.
    • Have a degree in an IT or Engineering related discipline.
    • Have a demonstrated record of proactively achieving organizational goals and objectives.
