- MSW, LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC qualifications.
- Ability to make sound judgment calls in client care
- Demonstrated group facilitation skills, knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and treatments.
- Familiarity with the 12-step recovery process is a plus.
- Handle with Care (HWC) training and Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum one year of experience in mental/behavioral health and/or Recovery Center preferred.
- Take primary responsibility for assigned client caseload.
- Offer individual/group therapy for clients seeking mental health and/or substance use treatment and document progress in the client record.
- Facilitate evidence-based interventions in individual, group, and family sessions.
- Ensure all documentation related to client care, treatment, and incidents is clear, professional, and timely.
- Act as a liaison between referral sources and clients.
- Conduct family interviews and make appropriate referrals to resources.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Develop aftercare plans for assigned clients, including case management.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and assist with EAP referral activities.
- Complete necessary documentation within specified timelines and review/update treatment plans regularly.
- Perform any other assigned duties.

New Vista Health and Wellness is currently hiring Therapists and Counselors at River Vista, a leading behavioral health facility in Columbus, OH.

COME JOIN OUR TEAM AS A THERAPIST OR COUNSELOR AT RIVER VISTA
We are looking for a day shift Therapist / Counselor at our facility. MSW, LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC qualifications needed. Salary range: $50k - $64k per year.
THE ROLE:
The Therapist/Counselor serves as a representative of the treatment staff, engaging clients in their treatment and recovery journey. They are responsible for aftercare coordination, family treatment, and engagement.
