    $80,000 - $120,000 (USD) per year *
    Description

Regarding the hours - 9am - 5pm, 5 days a week. As a company we are open 7 days a week, but we give our front of house staff 2 days off per week. You'd be required to work Saturdays and Sundays (these are our busiest days) and have two week days off based on the rest of the office's schedule - everyone has different days off so that we have someone here every day. Your days off may be Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Fridays, etc. This is to be determined.

Regarding the job description, roles, responsibilities -

    • Accept cold calls (leads) giving helpful information on date availability, pricing and package information to determine client's event fit for the venue
    • Follow up with all leads proactively to procure new business
    • Close sales and secure new bookings with all kinds of clientele - Proms, Sweet 16s, Corporate Events, South Asian Weddings, Kosher Weddings, Tricky Tray Fundraisers, Hospital Galas, etc.
    • Become proficient in negotiation - understand where to hold firm on price, what will make or break the deal: ultimately securing the highest price we are able to get without losing the client
    • Demonstrate knowledge of venue, ballrooms, capacities, general layouts and floor plans to determine which spaces would best suit clients' event needs
    • Share general venue history and information with prospective clients during tour appointments to generate excitement and interest in the space
    • Proactively anticipate clients needs and asks as they arise, helping guide the event to ensure a successful celebration
    • Process payments through contract system, and make any necessary contract updates and adjustments as they come in
    • Maintains professional appearance standards in line with The Legacy Castle venue and clientele
    • Possesses in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus, and what flexibility is available with adjustments, modifications, dietary requests, etc.

    • Willingness to jump in and help wherever it's needed on busy days

You would not be required to:

    • Stay for events that you sell (unless you want to) We do request that you stay for a few events as you're training just to best understand what you're selling, and why certain setups work better than others. It just helps you sell and educate clients better
    • Know 100% of all ballroom dimensions, follow up with Vendor Paperwork, arrival times, departure times, or put together floor plans - this is all another department
    • Help with the creative aspects of events. Our clients hire florists and planners to do this. As sales reps, we advise on food and beverage packages, dates, pricing. That's where our role ends. You can of course give personal opinions on which florists / vendors you like, but it's not part of the job description.
