- Responsible for the development, implementation, management, and performance of capital project sourcing and developing sourcing strategies for Indirect materials. The ability to assist with Direct as needed to meet business goals and objectives is also critical.
- Manages the assessment, selection, and development of suppliers (strategic and tactical) to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
- Managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analyses and implementing solutions, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans.
- Establishes a strong network and fosters collaboration with internal customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and team members.
- Be knowledgeable of current commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/capability, customer requirements and logistics/supply/demand challenges, and how these might impact project purchases and maintenance supplies/maintenance services.
- Responsible for contracting as needed, including the management of cost, schedule, and performance parameters. Developing contract specifications, statements of work, and terms & conditions.
- Develops bid packages, participates in bidders' conferences with engineering team, evaluates bids/proposals, negotiates contract provisions, selects or recommends contractors, writes award, and manages resulting contracts.
- Maintains vendor performance (direct and indirect) metrics and reports results to Global Procurement Manager.
- Educate company employees on Procurement policies and procedures while providing periodic training.
- Connecting with plant personnel to discuss and offer
problem solving techniques to improve overall performance from an operational
and cost perspective. - Bachelor's degree in Procurement,
Supply Chain, or Business Administration. MBA is a plus. - APICS or ISM certification is a plus.
- Minimum
5 years proven procurement experience ideally in the chemical industry. - The
ability to gather, analyze, and interpret transactional data and
communicate business information (oral, written or graphical) to the
team. - Demonstrated
track record of effective negotiation skills and strong business acumen.
Experience
in developing strategies to effectively lead and consolidate spend
categories is required. - Excellent
oral, written, and presentation communications skills.
Data
driven with a very high level of analytical skills and attention to
detail. - Exceptional
experience in leading and executing end-to-end procurement projects.
Demonstrated
success in leading and handling change while taking business objectives
into account. - Strategic
problem solver with ability to prioritize multiple projects. - Strong knowledge and
proficiency with navigating and creating purchase orders / reports
within SAP.
Requires
expertise in operating Microsoft Office programs and demonstrates experience

Our Catalyst Technologies division is currently on the hunt for a new Procurement Category Specialist at our Conshohocken, PA location.
The Procurement Category Specialist is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, services, and
equipment to support the overall operational efficiency of our global production
teams, working closely with the engineering department. This person must be
able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while being able to effectively
collaborate with multiple departments, such as operations, engineering, finance,
sales, marketing, R&D, and supply chain. In addition, this person will
interact with all levels of the business from associates to the President of
the company. This role is key in supporting the overall initiatives and goals of
