Description
We are looking for a Principal Applied Scientist in Redmond, WA or Mountain View, CA to incubate technologies from end to end to make product impact to drive innovations in the stack.
They will play a key role in driving algorithmic improvements to online and offline systems, developing, and delivering robust and scalable solutions, making direct impacts on both users and advertisers experience, and continually increasing the revenue for Microsoft Ads.
They will heavily use the recent advances in grid or cloud computing infrastructure to harness huge volume of data for solving many of the above-mentioned problems and leverage large language models (LLM) for many of the problems.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Computer Science or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g.
Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision) OR Master's Degree in Machine Learning Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Computer Science or related field with 4+ years related experience (e.g.
Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision)OR Doctorate in Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Statistics, Computer Science) OR equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience in machine learning, deep learning, Natural Language Processing, computer vision and/or statistics. 5+ years' experience in software development.Preferred Qualifications MS/PhD degree in CS/EE or related areas is preferred Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Familiarity with distributed data processing/analysis and modeling paradigm.
Applied Sciences IC- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year.There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
