    Description
    The Administrative Assistant performs program registrations/enrollments, tracking and reporting of program participants, handling incoming calls/emails and in general, providing a high level of customer service interfacing with the Commonpoint Queens member families and the general public.
    Essential duties:
    • Register participants for the Health & Wellness Department programs. This includes collecting documents and payments, parent follow-up, etc.
    • Answer phones, check and return messages, check and respond to emails and assist walk-in customers in a timely manner (if and when you are in-person).
    • Assist in handling billing, payment plans, refunds and collections.
    • Monitor enrollment numbers
    • Assist with camp fairs, open houses and other promotional events.
    • Ordering supplies as needed.
    • Supporting the department with social media services

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred or 3 years equivalent experience.
    • Must possess an understanding of computer systems, program set-up, spreadsheets, accounting procedures, and good business practices.
    • This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of customers as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
    • Experience in data management, customer service and & general office functions.
    • Familiarity with summer camp setting is a PLUS.
    • Must be flexible and adaptable. Weekly schedule may include one weekend day and some evening hours.

    Job Details: Starting Salary: $18.00 per hour Potential Work Shifts: Mondays 2:00-7:00pm, Wednesdays 2:00-7:00pm, Saturdays 8:00am-8:00pm, Sundays 5:00pm-10:00pm
