    The successful candidate must have janitorial experience, including stripping and waxing floors, shampooing carpets, general office cleaning and grounds care responsibilities.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    Floor cleaning and maintenance (scrubbing and polishing).

    1. Window and wall maintenance.
    2. Trash removal.
    3. Sweeping.
    4. Dusting.
    5. Cleaning bus storage building, offices, locker rooms and lavatories.
    6. Care of tools, equipment and vehicles assigned to Facilities Maintenance Department.
    7. All other duties generally related to janitorial and lawn care functions as assigned by the supervisor.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    This position requires a high school diploma or G.E.D.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Must be physically active, industrious, and work safely. Must be able to work well with others. Must be conscientious about the work with the average amount of interest in the progress of the Authority and the protection of its property. Must be physically and mentally capable of performing all the duties of a Facilities Serviceworker with the minimum amount of supervision and instruction. This job requires a consistently good record of attendance and punctuality.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Job may be subject to being on call 24 hours per day for snow and ice assignment schedules and other emergency work; may be expected to work holidays.

    SCHEDULE

    Probation schedule is Monday through Friday; no holidays (44 days). Upon completion of a successful probation, the schedule will be days; any day of the week; may include weekends; major holidays off. Schedule is based on position availability and seniority.
