    Job Description

    Brightspeed is looking for a Business Analyst to join our team As the Business Analyst of Operational Governance, you will be responsible for gathering, validating, and compiling data into reports that identify business opportunities and evaluate the financial feasibility of projects and programs. You will source data from a variety of systems to develop reports that track performance and measure it against established targets. This position reports to the Manager of Project Management and Operational Governance supporting the Architecture, Product, and Technology organization.

    Must be a proactive self-starter able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. You will need to source data and conduct analysis that drives meaningful, timely change on KPIs and critical objectives established by the business units.

    As A Business Analyst, Your Responsibilities Will Include:
    • Gather, validate, and compile data to provide KPI reports that enable operational governance
    • Partner with stakeholders to build business cases that evaluate the financial feasibility of projects and programs
    • Use data to forecast project benefits and track performance over the life of the project
    • Build reports that track performance against established objectives and provide trends analysis
    • Collect, process, and perform statistical analyses on datasets to discover useful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision-making
    • Perform data cleansing and preparation to ensure accuracy and relevance
    Qualifications

    What IT Takes To Catch Our Eye:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, or equivalent experience in a related field
    • 5+ years of demonstrated professional experience in a Business Analyst role
    • Experience with financial models, reporting, and forecasting, including NPV analysis
    • Experience supporting business case development using detailed calculations to quantify operational savings through call reduction, automation, dispatch prevention, efficiency, or similar measures
    • Experience developing dashboards and metrics to measure and display results and capturing insights that drive actions and outcomes
    • Experience extracting, working, and joining together large, disparate data sets, transforming them into clear and actionable insights
    • Experience using leading business techniques and methodologies to create forecasts to identify system impacts and expected trends
    • Adept at managing competing priorities and balancing planned and ad-hoc requests
    • Effective written and oral communication skills and experience working with executives
    • Proficiency in SQL tools such as MS SQL, Oracle, Big Query, and MySQL
    • Experience applying BI tools such as Web Focus, Qlik View, Qlik Sense, and Power BI
    • Proficiency in MS Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
