FLSmidth is seeking a Senior Software Developer to manage a small team. The Developer will have responsibility for a platform for advanced sensors in the mining industry, including computer vision with deep learning, and digital signal processing on accelerometer and vibration sensors. Full stack includes React + Typescript front end, Scala + OpenCV backend, and MongoDB as storage.

Your responsibilities

• Interaction with internal stakeholders
• Plan and execute new applications added to the platform
• Own and assist with documentation
• Writing code, primarily with React
• Working with other internal developers
• Debugging
• Contribute to product feature prioritization and technology roadmaps
• Design, build and unit test highly scalable applications
• Identify new technologies, trends, and opportunities

What you bring:

Experience with React + Typescript, Scala, OpenCV, and MongoDB. We realize that it is unlikely that a candidate has experience with all the technologies used in this role, but we do expect a strong proficiency in React.

• 4+ years of experience with React + Typescript
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a growth-mindset and highly collaborative team environment.
• Preferably you have experience with industrial software and the concepts of operator humane-machine interfacing (HMI)
