    Opportunity based in Tonawanda NY.

    Dynisco is headquartered in Franklin, Massachusetts, with facilities in Tonawanda New York, Heilbronn, Germany and Malaysia.

    **Essential Job Functions**

    Ensures that purchase orders are delivered on time and at cost

    Plans and procures materials in support of manufacturing cells and site requirements

    Strategic and tactical sourcing of materials and services for manufacturing

    Ability to select and analyze and report supply chain data

    Identifies best fit suppliers based on suppliers core competencies

    Works pro-actively with the manufacturing supervisors, procurement, and other departments to ensure schedules are maintained and material is readily available

    Obtains quotes and participates in the development of end-item product cost

    Establishes and manages demand-pull system for materials. Monitors and maintains inventory levels according to sales needs and conditions

    Coordinates and drives planning database maintenance to minimize inventory investments and load, i.e., order quantities, lead times, order policies, shrink factors, buyer/planner data fields, etc.

    Drives cost reductions and productivity improvement programs

    Processes disposition or material rejects and obsolete materials

    Develops performance standards for suppliers (score cards), both locally and globally

    Provides feedback to suppliers on their quality, delivery, and cost reduction performance against standards

    Responsible for understanding developments and changes at suppliers that may affect the material supply. Communicates to key stakeholders

    Actively participates in various manufacturing cell projects and product savings initiatives

    Demonstrates and helps establish sound and logical sourcing principles to drive total cost and or lead time reduction results

    Participates in the research and development of product specifications that meet the requirements of the end item products they support

    Coordinates Engineering Change Order (ECO) changes with responsible engineers

    **Educational and Experience Qualifications**

    Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Processes, Business or other related field or equivalent related work experience

    Masters Degree preferred

    Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing/supply chain/ manufacturing/production

    Previous supervisory experience preferred

    **Other Qualifications**

    Working knowledge of MRP principles and materials management

    APICS and/or ISM certification preferred

    Understanding and application of TCO principals

    High degree of initiative.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

    Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment

    Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

    Ability to follow through on tasks to completion

    Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

    Proficient in Microsoft-based software: Word, Excel, Access or other data-based analytic tool
