- Create a positive team member experience.
- Prepares, reviews, and processes all client reporting requirements.
- Travels to client locations to gather and copy tax returns, invoices, purchase orders, and other documentation to use in the audit refund process.
- Reviews and reconciles client data downloads and identifies tax issues to research.
- Responds to client inquiries and requests from state agencies.
- Negotiates tax resolutions with state agencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists with complex state and local tax projects, including audit defense, managed audits, managed compliance, reverse audits, and tax recovery.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Finance; Risk, Insurance and Financial Services; Economics; or other degree with Masters in Business Discipline or JD. Must have (9) Accounting hours or the ability to substitute technical courses for Accounting hours, with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and a Major GPA of 3.25 or higher. Two to four years audit or tax related experience.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Work Environment:
• Standard indoor working environment.
• Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
• Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm in person and via e-mail and telephone.
• Position requires regular interaction with clients and interface with external vendors in person and via e-mail and telephone.
• Independent travel requirement: Up to 10-20%.
