- Identify potential institutional funders including corporations, foundations, United Ways, civic groups, and giving circles.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to understand local needs and priorities.
- Research, develop, and manage funding proposals in alignment with council priorities.
- Coordinate presentations, site visits, budgets, and other application support materials as required by the funder.
- Develop strategic partnerships with funders and advise management on short- and long-term funding strategies.
- Match projects/programs with funders and attempt to renew and increase yearly gifts.
- Coordinate with program, membership, finance, and other fund development team members to ensure grant applications, proposals, reports, and funded programs meet funder requirements and council priorities.
- Ensure timely submission of applications, reports, and other funder requirements by managing a grants calendar.
- Design outcome measurement systems and develop surveys to assess the effectiveness of grant-funded programs.
- Use data to report back to funders and program delivery teams to improve programming as needed.
- Assist with events, programs, and publications to recognize and steward donors throughout the year.
- Stay abreast of current trends in fundraising, girls' trends, and Girl Scout programming.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in fundraising, communication, or nonprofit management; Master's or CFRE preferred
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in fundraising and/or project management within nonprofit organizations
- Relevant fundraising experience from corporations and foundations; grant writing and development communication skills a plus
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; excellent written/oral communication skills
- Experience with and interest in survey creation, data analytics; and reporting tools and techniques; experience with Qualtrics a plus
- High level of computer proficiency and experience including Outlook, Word, Excel, and project management, survey, and/or donor database software. Raiser's Edge, Qualtrics, Basecamp, SalesForce, Looker experience a plus
- Ability to come into the Raleigh Service Center 1-2 times a month for team meetings.
- Strong commitment to the mission, vision, values, and programs of the organization, and the ability to convey that information through various communication vehicles
- Service-oriented team player able to work with others at all levels of the organization
- Commitment to GSNCCP and GSUSA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Racial Justice (DEIB/RJ) initiatives.
- Driving a council vehicle or a personal vehicle is required. Must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess, and maintain a current, valid driver's license, and self-report any vehicle violations
- Ability to work flexible and changing schedules, including evenings and weekends
- Must be willing to obtain GSUSA membership ($25 annually) upon employment.

As the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Girl Scouts NC Coastal Pines, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining partnerships with corporations, foundations, United Ways, civic groups, and giving circles. Your days will be filled with opportunities to identify funding opportunities, cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, and coordinate grant proposals and reporting. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that grant-funded programs align with our organizational priorities and drive meaningful impact.
